Purchased lawn tractor mower STIGA COMBI 166 on May 6, 2023.
The first three–four months very good. Performed maintenance and covered it with a tarp for the winter. From the following spring it was a nightmare.
1) after 3–4 starts the battery tended to discharge. Changed the entire electrical system with no result. Sent to service near my home and then to Puglia where Stiga had indicated, but nothing changed. After at least 6 service sendings, not being able to resolve it I had to deactivate all the shutdown sensors and buy a second battery. In the meantime a wheel arm broke, the cable that lowers the blade snapped twice. Problems with the filter and the carburetor. Once the warranty ended every repair was at my expense. Recently it simply won’t start anymore despite the battery being charged. I have to scrap it after having used it no more than 30 times because it’s unsellable in this condition and I don’t want to cheat anyone. Stiga assistance stopped responding and washed their hands of a machine that, from the information I gathered, turns out to have many problems because of how it’s designed. 2000 euros wasted, An ABSOLUTE DISGRACE !
