The Perkins 403-17 engine is a vertical, water-cooled 4-stroke 3-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 1.7 litres. It has an output of 25 hp at 2800 rpm. Perkins 403-17 engines are widely used in lawnmowers and mini tractors. Many Perkins engines are compatible with Shibaura engines.
